The Mines

Amusement Archipelago does not get its name from nothing. Adventurous people have come from all over to try their mettle in the caves hidden underneath the whole of Raccolto-- and this cave system’s only entrance lies close to Amusement Archipelago’s waterfall. Sadly, most of the caves remain blocked off. They can only be opened up by exploration-- and that’s where Raccolto needs your help.

Exploration
Want to help explore the caves? All you need to do is create a submission for the group that shows your character exploring the cave in some way. The minimum requirements for cave submissions are as follows: visual art requires, minimally, flat colors for the subject and a simple background; written submissions require ~1000 words.

Complete, clean, roleplay logs may also count for Cave Exploration.

All collaborations will count towards all participants’ mine statuses and will contribute 2 points towards the cave’s completion instead of 1 point.

You may not skip to the current cave! All members are required to progress each of their characters (individually) through the cave levels starting from Cave 1.


Rewards
Each submission you create for the caves earns your character Pokedollars just like all other submissions to the group. Additionally, your character may find one item while exploring out of a wide variety of possibilities. Evolutionary stones, ores, and other rare objects may be obtained this way. Each cave level introduces new items to randomly find, with deeper caves holding more valuable items.

Cave levels may be explored more than once per character. Randomized rewards are still available for re-exploration & given for every cave submission.


Pet Adoption
Raccolto doesn't have a pet store, of course. Gardenmon, Mounts, Ranch Pokemon, Farm Pokemon, and Business Assistants are offered by the town’s respected breeders, but they don’t sell pets.

Each cave has its own set of Typing. This refers to the kind of pokemon that reside within the cave, and can be unlocked! To obtain a pet from the caves or unlock them, all you must do is draw or narrate your character interacting positively with the pokemon you would like! Simple as that! We also ask that in your artist's description you include the Name and Gender of your new pet!
One more thing, only young pokemon are docile enough to become pets. Which means only the first evolution of Pokemon can become a pet!

Unobtainable Pest-Pokemon
Pests are Pokemon that plague the farmers, ranchers, and business owners on Raccolto. They wreak havoc in many ways ranging from eating crops, stressing ranch animals or stealing eggs, and harrassing customers & ruining stock! As such, these Pokemon are often un-tameable. A list of Pests is below:

High chambers from the mine above have condensed into low roofed caverns. The caves are nearly pitch black but for hovering rocks and boulders which glow with psychic energy. Vents are littered throughout this level of the mines. From these pump poisonous gases which find openings to ventilate to upper levels.
